Celebrate Democracy with the Festival of Democracy at NSW Parliament

This April, bring your family to the Festival of Democracy at the Parliament of New South Wales! It’s a fun, free event designed for children aged 5-12 and their parents or guardians. Held on Tuesday, 15 April 2025, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM at 6 Macquarie Street, Sydney, this event offers a chance to explore Australia’s oldest parliament building in a unique and interactive way.

What’s Happening at the Festival?

The Festival of Democracy is packed with exciting activities that teach kids about the democratic process while having fun! Here’s what’s in store:

Guided Chamber Tours

Take a guided tour through the historic chambers of NSW Parliament and learn how government works. This is a great way to explore one of Australia’s oldest parliamentary buildings.
